I got a VIC-Modem for Christmas as a kid and I remember there being a type-in terminal program in the back of the manual. It was basic, with supported ML data statements. I do remember it working though! Maybe if you locate a manual you could type it in

Absolutely! Thank you! That's a really nice and funny sprite sheet. :) Minipaint and Minigrafik are both amazing utilities. I totally understand your reasoning Mine was absolutely the same. Good luck. I had a terrible time sourcing the proper ps/2 keyboard...had a hard time figuring out the pin outs but that is just me. Good luck. Looking forward to hearing about your progress.
Omega Race was one of my first Vic-20 carts that I got when I received my Vic-20 for Christmas back in 83 or so. Incredible port, probably one of the best in my opinion!!!
Hello, I attempted 1 time to hack mine but never had much success. I could never get the keyboard to be recognized. Also, i think there may be 2 versions of the DTV, one that may not work with the keyboard hack. I gave up and just spent my money on a c-64 for 20 bucks on craigslist...which was cheap...
