Re: The Vic-20 launching Oct 2020

Yes, Amazon UK began accepting pre-orders on the VIC for international customers for the last few weeks. Initiallly, they were barring non-EU buyers on the VIC listing. They still however are blocking ordering on the "64 Maxi" to North American Amazon customers? PS: it sure won't be cheap ...

Re: Megacart is back

Dagnabbit, I'm definitely on the waiting list to buy a Mega Cart but my email changed after my divorce a few years ago. Anyone have any suggestions? That's the best I can come up with. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out his e-mail address. Honestly, you should NOT even have done that! NO ONE is...

Re: The Vic-20 launching Oct 2020

I am really disappointed.

Even though I am a Cdn Amazon Prime member and have even ordered from the UK branch many times it will NOT allow me to place a PRE-Order as it says they will not ship to "my location"

Damn.

Who in North America has been been able to place a pre-order??

Re: The Vic-20 launching Oct 2020

....Given the option to choose theC64 maxi and TheVIC20, if they are both the same price, I would prefer TheVIC20 mostly because of the color. Oh for sure! I am now sort of glad the maxi launch in North America ended up being delayed because if I had bought one of those and then saw this I probably...

Re: Megacart is back

From the chatter I had seen around, I was wondering how many back orders there were and if it would impact my ability of putting in a request. My order goes back to 2015 and the website for ordering has been offline for quite some time. So, to answer your question, I would say not a chance most lik...

Re: Sony PVM professional video monitor and the VIC20?

Just wanted to chime in briefly as I didn't see the specific term mentioned in any of the replies to the Original Poster... unless I missed it... (sorry my eyes glazed over at the length of some replies) Those are BNC connectors which are the norm on "professional" grade monitors. You simp...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

I received my copy today and I am relieved that none of the books corners arrived crushed from shipping damage as it has come a long way! :D I am very busy tonight so I still do not have a chance to look through it thoroughly but what I have seen looks pretty good so far. However, all of the outer h...

Re: VIC 20 book on Kickstarter

Yeah, I get the sad impression the UK is going to be last :( I doubt that since I am across the Pond. However, I did get an email saying my order has "been completed" yesterday so I assume mine is on its way. Ummmmm.... I also assume that means Air Mail and not a slow boat around China......

Re: C128D and C128 Frankenstein Project

Update: Nevermind.... The curse of Ebay has struck again and I have now acquired a proper original 128D Keyboard that is very clean and NOT stained by the Sun! :D My "new" idea for the flat former donor 128 will now be to leave it intact as intended but to make it jet BLACK in colour and e...

Re: "New" old stock MOS 6525A for 17USD

Ok... I am in no rush as I am not out any money on the Magic Voice now, so I will just put it aside for another day.

I believe everything inside it is socketed too, so it should make for a relatively easy swapout later.
