Re: Commodore News Page closes doors :(

Today (Friday) I instinctively went to check the weekly news and then realized the site is no longer updating... Oh well..

Re: Commodore News Page closes doors :(

Thats a real shame... I check the Commodore news there every Friday and I have for years. I look forward to it every week. For a couple years I actually had a script going that would convert that web page into PETSCII format and copy it over to the Centronian BBS drive using a ZoomFloppy so as to ha...

Re: Lost software releases

I've been looking through the collections of Bo Zimmerman, gamebaseVic20 and the sd2iec collection of siccoyote. They are all great, but all incomplete. I also have my own Vic20 collection and I have a some titles that aren't in those others, such as Planet X1. Anyway, the point is that we shouldn't...

Re: Lost software releases

I'm looking for everything! I'd like to have the complete collection if possible.

We'd need to create a list of missing software and try and hunt it down. There is a lot missing.

Lost software releases

I've been going through the software releases from the past years in the Announcement section. Unfortunately many of the programs are no longer available because the hosting platforms they were linked to are either gone or accounts have expired. It seems that if you didn't download some programs soo...

Re: BBS program for the VIC?

Trevoz, great work getting this finished! I'm going to try and get a system up and running.

Just to clarify, the BBS only does 300 baud and works on an unexpanded VIC20?

Re: BBS program for the VIC?

Trevoz,

When you finish with your software, I'll setup a VIC20 BBS for sure. I've got the hardware all ready to go, just need something to run :)

Re: BBS program for the VIC?

I'm working on a new BBS for the C64, based on Contiki BBS. Its still under heavy development, but it currently supports VIC20 22 column screens. You can checkout a preview video I made using an emulated VIC20. In the near future, when its further along, it will replace the software currently runnin...

Re: Mega-Cart

plbyrd posted here in Denial just a few days ago. That can hardly be counted as quitting this community (or, if you'd like to call it that way, the 'scene'). He may have his reasons for deleting his web code repository; again, that decision is entirely on his own, and maybe he just moved it to anot...

Apparently plbyrd was working on a menu system, but he decided to quit the scene and deleted all his code. Looks like that effort has been lost unfortunately...

Does anyone have a copy of NinjaTerm? Plbyrd seems to have deleted all copies and removed his github!

Re: Ultimem or Final Expansion?

And yes, a quality term could also be written for the VIC MIDI. It would be nice to write the term and BBS software together, so they can take advantage of each other's features.

Re: Ultimem or Final Expansion?

As well, there's a fully functioning high speed UART on the VIC-MIDI cart, but no one has written a nice team for it as yet. Sigh... I would absolutely love to use the VIC MIDI to run a BBS, using the UART. I'm OK programming in C, and I've been doing a fair bit for the C64, running a BBS for a cou...

Re: New physical cartridge release: Cheese And Onion

I hooked a VIC20 to the projector in the living room and the kids and I have been playing Cheese and Onion for the past couple days. My 6 year old absolutely loves it! Its a very approachable platformer, especially for young children. Lots of hours of enjoyment from this one. Well done!
