MKLOADER 0.9 Beta (MaKe final expansion 3 LOADER scripts)
Current version : 0.9.5 Beta MKLOADER is a Win32 command line tool which allows to automatically generate LOADER script files to use with the Final Expansion 3 on the VIC20. It generates LOADER files accordingly to the content of your SD Card. It uses PETCAT and C1541 from the VICE distribution and...

Re: PETCAT and special characters in basic
Thanks buzbard !
I really wonder why I haven't thought about this solution
I have found that Petcat uses this kind of syntax for special characters : {CBM-Q} , {SHIFT-A} ... etc

PETCAT and special characters in basic
Hi, (I asked the question on Lemon but nobody replied until now...) I try to tokenize a BASIC text file containing a special character, for example : 10 a$="hello{095}" {095} is the back arrow (this is the TOK64 syntax). But the output basic v2 file contains garbage after the back arrow ch...

Re: Best data storage?
Actually, there are some FE3 kits available : http://www.sinchai.de/index.php?main_pa ... 6c28bb569b
If you want .TAP support with your SD2IEC, have a look at the C64SD Princess : http://www.manosoft.it/

a text viewer on VIC ?
Hi, Does a text viewer exist on the VIC ? I'm actually coding a windows tool to automatically generate all the LOADER files of a SD card to use with the FE3. If I encounter a .TXT file, I would want to generate a VIC executable to read this TXT file. like a kind of "plugin viewer". Thanks.

Re: Best data storage?
disk drive: compatible, but small storage and floppies are rare and not cheap nowadays (anyway compatibility problem is more related to C64 than VIC20) SD2IEC: great FE3: even greater ! the ultimate weapon for programmers! (a SD2IEC device with any memory configuration a 512K expansion and 512K flas...

Re: VIC serial bus issue
The faulty CR VIC20 was modded with a kind of reset button+speaker, inside the VIC, there were wires soldered to the serial bus connector.
I completely took off this mod because it didn't work and it must be the problem origin...

Re: VIC serial bus issue
I also own an old "2 prong" VIC that I can't use because I don't have the PSU. I have verified the VIAs are socketed and not soldered on this one. Are you nearly sure that it can mostly come from a faulty VIA ? If yes, I can try to take off the VIAs (at least VIA#1) from the CR VIC20 (but ...
