Re: Broken Key
Just wanted to update the topic and say the C64 plunger worked great in my Vic-20. Was super easy to install and only required removing a bunch of Phillips head screws and desolder two wires.

Re: WTB: Zap Pow Boom Arcade Games for the Vic-20 Book
Thanks Andy for the offer. I think I want the edition I had when I was younger that had the blue and orange cover.

Broken Key
The number 5 key broke off my VIC when moving the machine. Looks like the black piece, that looks like a plus, broke off in the keycap. From some reading online I need to remove and disassemble the keyboard so I can replace the plunger correct? Any idea where I can buy one? When I look on eBay I onl...

Low audio from composite cable
So a while back I'd posted a question about very low audio output from my VIC. Never really figured out what the issue was but have a little more info that someone may know the answer to. I've confirmed with another VIC-20 I just purchased the issue does not happen when using the RF box but only whe...

Sound output is very low
So my VIC is working fine otherwise, but I can't get much sound out of it. There is sound if you crank the TV volume up to max but even then you can just barely hear it. I've made two different composite cables for it with the same result. I'd try the RF converter I have but it doesn't produce video...

Re: No cursor prompt
So I just searched for 6522 VIA and came up with this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-R6522AP-R65 ... 27e6c572a1
Is this correct if the chip is bad?
Thanks for your help by the way

No cursor prompt
I fired up my VIC-20 today after its long hibernation from the 1980's and it produces video, shows the cbm basic v2 message but never shows the cursor to begin typing. I've opened it up and reseated the keyboard connection but this seems unlikely to be the issue since I never get the blinking cursor...
