It proves that new orginal games still can be made by mixing old genres.
Jump and shoot, simple, but still very fun.

A unique and fun shooter

JumpCollision for ZX Spectrum
Funny that no one ever thought of to make a shooter like this. A bit of Galaxian, a bit of Millipede, a bit of platform in one and the same game.
Made 2015.

It's almost like installing a virus, their code take over the forum and then they can bypass whatever they want. It's like when you install a new app for your android mobile. Some apps want to have access to almost anything on your mobile. And you can't complain about it either, when you press the O...

Re: Pac Man 2600
Not really, Commodore recieved a lawsuit from Atari too. Jelly Monsters was replaced by Atarisofts Pac Man. Jelly Monsters for the Commodore VIC-20 is a faithful port of Namco's Pac-Man by HAL Laboratory who had the home computer rights to Namco's games in Japan at the time, but when the games were ...

Re: Pac Man 2600
The programmer of Atari 2600 Pac Man was Tod Frye Why Pac Man contained lots of technical flaws https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tod_Frye Frye landed the 2600 Pac-Man project in early 1981. Atari had licensed the arcade games Defender and Pac-Man and while Frye preferred Defender, when fellow programme...

Re: Pac Man 2600
I honestly don't think Atari 2600's version of Pac Man was bad. Ok, it's not great if you compare it to the arcade, but if it didn't have the Pac Man license to be for such a comparison, it wouldn't be such a bad game on its own. Just play it without thinking of it as a port. The big problem about ...

Great job. Popeye is one of those games that every computer and console should have it's own version of.

Thanks for sharing your collection of unreleased games.
Great, it's even a Popeye clone in there.

Re: Introduce Yourself: What's your User Name based on?
Hi Everyone, I started with Commodore 16/64 then Amiga, but was a bit too young to have a Vic 20 as a kid. Looking to fix that 30+ years later. I did the same thing on Atari 2600. ;) I never got this classic games console one back then but were a proud Vic 20 owner late 1982. Welcome to the forum. :)

Re: Atari ST, the misunderstood computer?
Even if ST was aimed mostly for serious use it was possible to achieve quite amazing stuff on Atari ST too using some clever programming tricks. Photochrome for exemple could display 32768 on screen colours. That's many times the total palette of Atari ST. https://sites.google.com/site/stessential/d...
