You apparently don't have this control - the c64 port, two forks of the vic-20 code, and however many have downloaded the package from github seems to say otherwise.

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

Your examples are utterly ridiculous. These are a 8-bit work in progress computer and a 8-bit console I built myself from scratch as a electronics hobby project. No-one in the world is using them. No-one is hurt. Which I said, my examples are quite silly. Again, just as silly as someone thinking a ...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

What really bothers me, this entire thing could have been avoided if they had put forth more of an effort into contacting him first instead of going forward assuming everything was OK. That would have been the wise thing to do. Overkiller did in fact have some communication with Petri before the po...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

The database lists people that are current or former sceners or have some connection to the scene. I assume you don't fall into any of those categories, correct? I believe we've taken the appropriate action in this case; the entry will remain with hidden downloads. By your arbitrary rules I'm not g...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

His name is in the c64 port three times - that is enough ... and his name won't be added to the database unless he releases for c64 and is a scener Is this is an official statement from csdb? Like I said in the mail you should be ashamed of yourselves. The database lists people that are current or ...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

If you look at the CSDB database entry: http://csdb.dk/release/index.php?id=150286 At the time of writing the original authors name is not to be found anywhere on the page. His name is in the c64 port three times - that is enough ... and his name won't be added to the database unless he releases fo...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

The guy that handled the main work of the c64 port calls himself "qow" and is quite depressed about this entire issue. This is an overview of the changes and additions made for the c64 port ... Well, the main game-logic is ported for sure - so just fixed some bugs and optimizations, so you...

Re: New Release: Demons of Dex

In three different places the c64 port gives you the credit. In fact, there is a copyright statement with your fullname on it. They certainly didn't just "replaced the screen routines and slapped their credits on the front" as you claim over at CSDb. Far more effort was put into this port ...

Ghislain wanted the first version to be completely his creation, using his own graphics. For the second version, he's asked me to remake all of his monsters (in addition to the ones you see above). I've gotten a few done... here's one of my favorites, as something of a preview: http://i37.photobuck...
