The video output jack on the Vic 20 also provided the audio output. The connector is a 5 pin DIN socket located between the cartridge port and the serial bus.


Vic 20's usually shipped with an RF Modulator which plugged into this port, allowing one to use their Vic 20 with nearly any TV made in its day (color or black and white). One could also connect directly to a monitor with a cable that provided separate audio and video signals.
