Avalon Hill (often referred to as AH) is a game company that specializes in wargames, strategic board games, and their electronic counterpart for 8-bit computers and IBM PCs. It has also published the occasional miniature wargaming rules, role-playing game, and had a popular line of sports simulations.
In early 1980s, AH released at least seven games for the VIC-20. Some were strategy games, some arcades. They offered basic graphics and sound, but were characterized by an excellent colorful package, good manuals, and complex gameplay for the strategy games.
